AHP Clinical Grand Rounds Presentations Available
September 29th, 2016 | Network NewsAHP welcomed over 170 community and faculty physicians to its Fall 2016 Clinical Grand Rounds on September 15th. A semi-annual event designed to ensure that physicians stay informed about the network’s priorities, this grand rounds agenda was developed to provide topics of interest for both PCPs and specialists.
After introductory remarks and updates from AHP CEO Bob McCann, MD, FACP, attendees heard a back pain presentation kicked off by AHP medical director John Bisognano, MD, PhD and followed by presentations from John Markman, MD and Kostantinos Vasolos, PT. Clinical pharmacist Jineane Venci provided a comprehensive overview of PPIs, including a “beyond the headlines” analysis of the evidence linking PPIs to chronic kidney disease and dementia. Carolyn Cleary, MD presented on pediatric best practices for lead screening and immunizations. The event’s presentations can be viewed or downloaded below.
