Save the Date – Dr. David Satcher Community Health Improvement Awards: The University of Rochester Medical Center’s Center for Community Health & Prevention is hosting the 16th annual Dr. David Satcher Community Health Improvement Awards honoring URMC faculty, staff, and community partners for their significant contributions to community health through research, teaching, practice, and service programs. This year will also feature a Special Public Health Grand Rounds titled “Engaging Community and Health Partners in Designing and Delivering Large-Scale Health Interventions for Increased Reach, Influence and Impact”. April 2025: Celebrating Arab American Heritage, Autism Acceptance, Diversity, and National Deaf History Month
In the month of April, we have the unique opportunity to recognize and celebrate several important cultural and social milestones that promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusivity. Among these are Arab American Heritage Month, Autism Acceptance Month, Diversity Awareness, and National Deaf History Month. Each of these observances highlights different aspects of identity and advocacy, yet they are united in their aim to celebrate diverse communities, promote understanding, and foster a more inclusive society.
