AHP Endorses HPV “Start at 9” Campaign

AHP Endorses HPV “Start at 9” Campaign

May 31st, 2023 | Network News

AHP is kicking off participation as an endorsee of the Start at 9 HPV Vaccination initiative launched by the American Cancer Society and the National HPV Roundtable and supported locally by the New York State Cancer Consortium and the New York State HPV Coalition. The Start at 9 initiative encourages providers and families to begin vaccinating against HPV at age nine to prevent HPV-related cancers that affect both males and females in the future. The campaign features educational programs, awareness campaigns, and community outreach emphasizing the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness to address potential vaccine hesitancy.

To support this effort, AHP is updating previously shared “Same Day, Same Way” resources to align with Start at 9 effort. The resources will be available to providers in the Summer issue of Quality Corner, AHP’s new clinical newsletter distributed quarterly, and on our website. Providers can read the endorsee letter here and consider signing on to support the campaign.
