Arcadia Connection: Master Patient Index and Terming Arcadia Users

Arcadia Connection: Master Patient Index and Terming Arcadia Users

September 27th, 2017 | Arcadia Connections

The Arcadia Connection is a recurring feature in Network News that keeps you up to date with news about the Arcadia Analytics Dashboard and connects you with information about workflow improvements and best practices that improve measure performance. This issue of Arcadia Connection includes two topics: the Master Patient Index and best practices around terminated Arcadia users.

Master Patient Index
In order to ensure that the data you’re looking at in Arcadia is relevant, the patient record needs to include all the data we have for that patient, regardless of the source. In order to accomplish this, we rely on Arcadia’s Master Patient Index.

A Master Patient Index is a database that is used to identify, match, de-duplicate, and cleanse patient and member records to obtain a single view of an individual across multiple data systems.

Best Practices: Terminated Users
If an Arcadia user has left your organization, we recommend terminating their Arcadia access.
To do so, your Administrative User should log in to Arcadia, and select “Admin” from the upper right side of the tool bar.

Select “Administer Users”

You can then click the “x” next to the User ID you’d like to inactivate:

You’ll be prompted to confirm your deletion of the User ID. Once you click “Yes”, the User ID will be deleted.
