December 19th, 2021 | News•Network NewsSanofi Pasteur: Sanofi Pasteur is planning for a national price increase of 3% -4% on the most commonly used immunizations, effective January 1, 2022. In addition, practices wishing to use Vaxelis must “opt-in” to receive the best possible pricing. Sanofi is also phasing out Menactra over the next few months due an uptake in utilization of MenaQuadfi. Last, Sanofi Pasteur is accepting new flu orders for immediate shipment of Fluzone High-Dose and Fluzone Quadrivalent (multi-dose vials, pre-filled syringes and individual unit vials)
Merck: Beginning November 15, 2021, Merck’s Vaxneuvance (Pneumococcal 15-valent Conjugate Vaccine) was added to Atlantic Health Partner’s vaccine program. Final recommendations for adult pneumococcal vaccination are expected to be published in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report in the new year, however provisional updates were recently endorsed by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Please check with payers regarding reimbursement for this new vaccine recommendation.
