EPIC Connect Opportunity
July 29th, 2022 | Network NewsAt the June 8th Practice Managers’ meeting, representatives from UR Medicine’s Information Systems Division (ISD) presented an opportunity for community practices to integrate more fully into the AHP system by implementing Epic Connect, an EMR solution leveraging URMC’s instance of Epic. With Epic Connect, private practices gain seamless access to clinical data and functionality that ensure better patient outcomes while preserving the ability to maintain separate financials and practice-specific EMR customization. Patients benefit from access to MyChart and its engagement tools for scheduling, viewing test results, and refilling prescriptions, all of which facilitate efficiencies that reduce overhead costs for the practice.
