Lead Care II Test Kit Recall
September 30th, 2021 | Network NewsAs many providers have reported, there have been several recalls of Magellan Lead Care II test kits resulting in the inability to perform point-of-care testing for practices using this platform. AHP has attempted to identify alternate sources for these supplies through outreach to Magellan/Meridian Bioscience, McKesson and Medline. The feedback from these vendors indicates that the cartridges will remain unavailable until at least mid-October. In the interim, patients will need to be referred to a UR Medicine Lab Patient Service Center for testing until point-of-care service can be reestablished. Providers can expect to hear directly from their service vendor when new test kits are available.
