MVP Healthcare Ending Select Prior Authorizations

Effective April 1^st, MVP Healthcare ended the requirement for prior authorizations for select codes included in several medical policies like obstructive sleep apnea diagnosis, bariatric surgery, cochlear implants, and genetic and molecular diagnostic testing, among others. The move is meant to ensure that plan members have access to needed care. The change was communicated on April 18^th to providers in a FastFax communication that included the complete list of codes for which prior auth would no longer be required. Providers can view all current medical policies and review revisions and updates through the MVP Provider Portal.
