There are several notable changes from previous versions of the guidelines, including a modification to the symptom/exacerbation risk assessment and the elimination of ICS+LABA as a routine treatment recommendation (other than if the patient is currently well-controlled on that regimen). There is also a review of all commercially available inhalers approved for COPD, including brand and generic names and typical dosing.
