Vatica Year-End Performance

Vatica Year-End Performance

April 27th, 2022 | NewsNetwork News

We are pleased to share our network’s 2021 performance for the Vatica initiative for our Excellus contract. In 2021, Vatica paid $1.2 million dollars in base incentives to AHP providers, and another $285,000 in bonus incentives was paid to providers who completed over 65% of their targeted Vatica encounters for the year. Bonus payments were calculated and mailed to providers during the final weeks of April.

While the figures above are for Excellus only, there are a total of six payers participating in the Vatica program, which gives providers the potential to earn more. The Vatica program is designed to guide providers through a risk-coding exercise to accurately capture healthcare conditions for high-risk patients. Vatica is beneficial to patients and providers: accurate condition coding can prevent gaps in care for patients, while providers can earn an incentive for each qualifying Vatica visit they perform.

If you are not currently contracted with Vatica and would like to learn more about the program, please email Jana Darlington.
