Welcome Robert (Bob) Adams, Director of Pharmacy Services
May 31st, 2022 | News•Network NewsAHP is pleased to introduce our new Director of Pharmacy, Bob Adams, who joined the team on May 9th. Bob has been a professional in the Finger Lakes Region’s pharmacy community for 15 years. Much of Bob’s professional career was spent as an employee of the Rochester Regional Health (RRH) system, serving as Unity Hospital’s Assistant Director and then Director of Pharmacy and the RRH’s Pharmacy Strategy and Operations Manager. Bob worked to decentralize pharmacy services in these roles, embedding pharmacists in the emergency department, ICU, and medical-surgical units. Bob helped to plan, implement and grow Unity’s pharmacy resident program. Bob also operationalized the 340b drug pricing program at Unity and assisted in the set-up of Specialty Pharmacy services across RRH.
Bob received his B.S. from Roberts Wesleyan College, his M.A. from SUNY Brockport, and went on to earn his PharmD from the University at Buffalo. Bob is excited to join “a passionate team of healthcare professionals with an entrepreneurial mindset, who are striving to improve population health.” Bob looks forward to contributing to AHP and growing ambulatory pharmacy services within a collaborative and patient-centered model, ultimately improving patient health outcomes.
In his personal life, Bob, his wife Jen, and their four children live in Spencerport and enjoy time outdoors – especially trips to the Adirondack mountains for hiking, camping, and paddling.
