URMC Healthy Living Center Lifestyle Management Offerings
March 2nd, 2016 | ArchiveSince 2010, we’ve helped hundreds on their journey to better health. We can help your patients, too.
Our approach is centered on helping your patients determine their goals and reach them in ways that make sense, with respect to their preferences, schedule, and lifestyle. The programs and services we offer are consistent with best practice guidelines, and based on a proven theory of motivation to support and guide patients in making small, meaningful changes that they can maintain over time.
Our physician, team of dietitians, exercise physiologist, and counselors will work with your patients to reach their health goals. Our first step will be to meet with them to be sure we have a clear understanding of what they want to achieve. Then, together, we will be able to create a personalized plan that will work for them, tailoring proven strategies so that they can make those meaningful lifestyle changes toward better health.
You can refer to us with confidence. Kevin completed our Weight Loss program and had this to say about his experience:
“It was so unique. I liked how it stressed the importance of a lifelong process and commitment to weight management in a way that did not focus on “numbers”…that it was not a diet, it was fundamentally a choice to live a healthier life. It also had a great side benefit for me. I had a checkup with my physician last Friday. My cholesterol and triglycerides were the best they have been in over five years. Hurray!”
Others are finding our programs helpful, too. Here’s what they are saying:
“I’ve started to change some habits […] I keep a journal and do little things that accumulate throughout the day. It makes it easier [and] I feel good!”
“This was a great experience and went above and beyond my expectations.”
“I continue to work toward my goal, and continue with the strategies and suggestions I received in this program.”
