Michael J. Apostolakos, M.D. led Strong Memorial Hospital’s adult critical care program for 20 years before becoming Chief Medical Officer of both Strong Memorial and Highland Hospitals.
Dr. Apostolakos led successful efforts at Strong to reduce central line infections and ventilator-associated pneumonias, implemented rapid response teams, and championed campaigns to improve hand hygiene. Known regionally as an expert on sepsis, Dr. Apostolakos has served on numerous state and national committees, including a stint as president of the New York State Thoracic Society, and he has repeatedly been listed as one of the Best Doctors in America by America's Top Doctors®.

Dr. Baumhauer earned her medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and then completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical Center Hospital there. She also completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Baumhauer directs the URMC Orthopaedics Foot and Ankle Institute, a joint venture in clinical care and research with the Ithaca College Department of Physical Therapy. She is an author on many medical articles on topics such as the diabetic foot and foot and ankle biomechanics. In 2008, Dr. Baumhauer was elected the first woman president of the Eastern Orthopaedic Association. She is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, the Associate Chair of Academic Affairs for URMC’s Department of Orthopaedics, and a Professor of Orthopaedics.

Dr. Fogarty is a Family Physician who practices full spectrum care for children and adults at Highland Family Medicine in Rochester NY. A community health center "lifer", she enjoys the diversity of the patients and families she sees at the health center and plays an active role in teaching Family Medicine residents training there.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Fogarty works with fellows and residents at the University of Rochester/Highland Hospital Department of Family Medicine, where she serves as the Associate Chair and Medical Director of Highland Family Medicine.
Dr. Fogarty earned her medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester. She has additional training in Family Systems from the University of Rochester and a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Boston University School of Public Health.
Her special clinical interests include working with patients coping with post-trauma symptoms, women's health, and caring for young children.

Steven I. Goldstein serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester in and President and Chief Executive Officer for Highland Hospital. In addition, he is a professor in community and preventive medicine for the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Prior to assuming his position at Strong, Mr. Goldstein served in executive or administrative positions at Rochester General Hospital, The Children’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, the University of Nebraska Hospitals and Clinics and the Nebraska Psychiatric Institute in Omaha. He also has served as assistant clinical professor in the Department of Community Medicine at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton. He is the past chairman of the Hospital Association of New York State (HANYS). He has been a Trustee of American Hospital Association Inc. since January 2010.

I am a pediatrician and researcher at the University of Rochester. My overall research goal is to improve the delivery of preventive care to underserved children by conducting translational research studies designed to bring effective therapies to the children who need them. While most of my research has focused on improving care for childhood asthma, my training and experience in health services research spans multiple areas, and has included work in child development, autism, foster care, obesity, access to care, and children with special needs and chronic illness. I have extensive experience in primary data collection research and intervention trials. I have led or participated in 8 randomized clinical trials involving health services research, as well as multiple other studies (case-control studies, qualitative studies, secondary database analyses, surveillance work). My studies have included collaborations and recruitment in the community, schools, and primary care offices. In addition, I spend a substantial amount of my time providing mentorship to individuals at all levels of training, including undergraduate students, graduate and medical students, fellows,and junior faculty.

Dr. Johnson is Associate Chair for Primary Care in the Department of Medicine and Director of the University of Rochester’s Center for Primary Care. A graduate of Yale University who received his medical degree summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Johnson served his residency in Internal Medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Rotondo is the Chief Executive Officer of URMFG, Senior Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs, Professor of Surgery and will serve as a member of the URMC Division of Trauma in the Department of Surgery. A Rochester native and graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine, Rotondo completed his general surgical training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He pursued a fellowship in Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania before accepting a post as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in the Division of Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care. While at Penn, he rose through the ranks to direct Penn’s Level One Trauma Center and serve as Vice Chief of Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care.
In 1999, Rotondo was appointed Professor and Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at The Brody School of Medicine and chief of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina. In 2005, he became Chairman of Surgery.
