New Incentive for COVID Vaccinators

New Incentive for COVID Vaccinators

May 28th, 2021 | Network News

Improving the rates of vaccination for adults, adolescents and ultimately children by administering vaccine in the outpatient primary care setting is increasingly the focus of our community’s COVID-19 response. Primary care vaccination is a proven strategy for overcoming vaccine hesitance: according to the CDC, three in 10 adults who are not currently convinced to get a COVID-19 vaccine say they would be more likely to get vaccinated if one was offered to them during a routine medical visit.

Many private primary care practices have already partnered with the Finger Lakes Vaccine Hub and their local department of health to stand up COVID vaccination processes for their patients. To recognize those practices making this important effort and provide some compensation for the time, materials and effort necessary, AHP has established an incentive that will be paid the week of May 24th in the amount of $1,750 for practices with one to two physicians or $3,500 for those with three or more. The entire AHP team thanks these practices and providers for this critically important contribution to the fight against COVID-19.
