AHP Selects a New Population Health Management Platform – Health Catalyst
November 2nd, 2023 | Quality•NewsAHP is pleased to announce the selection of a new population health management platform, Health Catalyst. After a 15-month request for proposal process, which included the creation of a search committee, identifying over 200 vendor criteria, scoring responses from nine organizations, in-person demonstrations, and reference checks, Health Catalyst was identified as the best partner to meet the growing needs of our network. The search culminated in September 2023 with approval from AHP’s Board of Managers.
Health Catalyst is a leading provider of data and analytics technology and services to healthcare organizations committed to being the catalyst for massive, measurable, data-informed healthcare improvement. AHP will leverage several of the tools offered by Health Catalyst to provide more accurate, timely, and accessible data to our team and provider partners. We believe Health Catalyst will enable us to better monitor quality and cost performance, improve contract performance, and accomplish our shared goals in population health and value-based programs.
Our transition to Health Catalyst is a critical and defining point in our network’s ten-year history. We will work diligently with Arcadia, Health Catalyst, contracted payors, and provider partners to achieve a successful implementation and begin leveraging these powerful new tools. Project timelines and what practices can expect during the transition are being finalized; however, we plan to retire the Arcadia platform in the second quarter of 2023. AHP commits to sharing regular and timely updates relative to this transition.
It is important to note the reinstatement of 2023 PCP Reward Plan accountabilities, for which the data in the Arcadia platform will be used to determine performance. Providers and individuals responsible for managing quality within their practice or organization are encouraged to log in to Arcadia to review performance to the 2023 quality measures throughout the year. Regularly reviewing performance in Arcadia and alerting AHP to potential data issues ensure your hard work is recognized.
In addition to monitoring quality measure performance in Arcadia, providers are encouraged to access the Provider Engagement Report (PER) for insight into their performance relative to all components of the Reward Plan (e.g., citizenship, pharmacy cost-savings). Regularly using these critical resources will support practice efforts to improve quality and optimize Reward Plan incentives.
We look forward to sharing more updates with you as this project progresses. If you have any questions about the transition to Health Catalyst, its impact on you, or the 2023 PCP Reward Plan, please contact Jana Darlington.
