Bringing Mammography Services to Your Community with the Mammo Van
July 18th, 2024 | Quality•NewsURMC launched the Mammo Van in the fall of 2023, a mobile mammography unit that can conveniently park near your office or at a community location such as a library. This service comes at no cost to practices wishing to have the mobile unit onsite and is designed to improve access to mammography, promoting health equity in our community.
The Mammo Van requires patients to be scheduled in advance, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for everyone involved. By bringing this essential service to offsite locations, patients will be better able to receive timely mammograms, ultimately enhancing early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
