Behavioral Medicine Collaborative Care Symposium Announced
March 31st, 2016 | ArchiveThe integration of behavioral health into primary care is an important feature of the patient centered medical home, as well as a critical strategy for improving access to mental health care. AHP providers can learn more about how collaborative care is a successful model of this integration at the Western New York Collaborative Care Summer Symposium on June 24, 2016.
Among the speakers currently scheduled are:
- Dr. Susan McDaniel, current president of the American Psychological Association and published author on the topic of integrated and collaborative care in psychiatry and symposium keynote speaker
- Dr. Anna Ratzliff Associate Director of Education in the Division of Integrated Care at the University of Washington AIMS Center
- Dr. Lori Raney, Chair of the American Psychiatric Association Task Force on Integrated and Collaborative Care
- Dr. Erik Vanderlip, Associate professor in Family Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma
