University of Rochester Employee Open Enrollment Begins
October 29th, 2014 | ArchiveUniversity of Rochester employees are now in the open benefits enrollment period for the new employee benefit plan that will begin January 1, 2015. The new plan includes financial incentives like lower copays and deductibles that will encourage UR employees to utilize AHP providers, and the network’s call center is busy helping employees connect with the network’s participating physicians.
To be prepared today for UR employee inquiries, it’s important to:
#1: Ensure your information on ahpnetwork.com is current and correct
The provider directory on ahpnetwork.com is being heavily promoted to the UR employees as a resource for identifying an AHP provider. Referring providers will also be using the directory to help their patients see AHP specialists and benefit from the plan’s lower co-pay or coinsurance incentives. We ask you to be mindful that UR employees have financial incentive to see providers within the AHP network and therefore may prefer that you refer them to other AHP providers.
Click here to look your practice up on the web directory and email Renée Sutton at [email protected] with any corrections.
#2: Prepare your front-end team for UR employee patient questions
Many University employees are calling their provider offices directly to ask if their physician is AHP-participating. Make sure that the members of your team that are likely to receive those inquiries know about AHP and its role as the tier one network associated with the University’s employee benefit plan.
