COMING SOON: The Provider Engagement Report

To achieve optimal gainsharing, it’s critical that AHP achieve not only excellent quality outcomes, but that it does so efficiently and within our contracts’ financial performance thresholds. Network PCPs are vital to this effort, but AHP’s earlier efforts like the Triple Aim Report for sharing provider data had a number of shortcomings:

  • Report was static, with no ability for providers to drill into patient-level information
  • Data were stale, often one quarter behind
  • Data were limited to quality, with little information about cost performance and no link to progress towards incentives

Enter the new Provider Engagement Report (PER)! Delivered electronically, the new PER is a dynamic report that will give providers not only the ability to drill down to patient-level data underlying their quality measures, but also insight into their work on initiatives that contribute to the network’s financial performance. Providers will also be able to view their progress towards incentive, enabling them to adjust focus in time to optimize incentive payments.

Both the Adult and Pediatric PCP Advisory Committees have seen early mock-ups of the PER, and their feedback has been critical to the report’s development. In the coming months, we will be meeting with practices and implementing PER access on a rolling basis with the goal of having all providers set up to access the report by March 1, 2022. Our implementation progress will be reported here in Network News, with future issues including report images and more information about content and functionality.

Stay tuned for more news about the PER, and contact Renée Sutton with any questions.
