Board Certification Earned by Pharmacy Team Member
December 13th, 2018 | ArchiveWe are pleased to announce that Jenny Radcliffe, Clinical Pharmacy Specialist has earned BCACP (Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist) certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. Jenny’s certification follows months of studying, several years of practical experience (including pharmacy residency) and an extensive credentialing exam.
Pharmacists earning their BCACP have the advanced knowledge and expertise to focus on the special needs of patients who many have concurrent illnesses requiring multiple medications. BCACPs also educate and engage patients in health promotion and wellness and help to manage patients in between provider visits through treatment assessment, monitoring compliance, refilling prescriptions and patient education.
Integrating clinical pharmacy services into the ambulatory care setting is a key element of AHP’s 2019 Pharmacy Strategy, and Jenny’s expertise will be critical in our efforts to support outpatient clinicians and patients. Congratulations, Jenny on earning your BCACP!
