December 21st, 2015 | Archive

The James P. Wilmot Cancer Institute is providing a day-long symposium which will address the issues that cancer survivorship presents and provide educational sessions on surveillance recommendations for certain types of cancers; assessing patients’ needs and providing appropriate referrals and resources. This will permit identification for which long term effects to monitor based on disease or treatment and how best to educate patients.

The target audience is family practitioners, internists, primary care physicians, medical, pediatric, radiation, and surgical oncologists, as well as urologists, ENTs, dermatologists, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, social workers and other providers who contribute care and treatment to cancer patients.
