2022 PCP Reward Plan Update
October 31st, 2022 | Quality•NewsDue to the ongoing data quality issues with the Arcadia Analytics dashboard and the resultant delays impacting the Provider Engagement Report (PER), the AHP leadership team has decided that providers will be rewarded on an equitable basis for 2022 performance, with no differential applied on the basis of quality, cost and/or citizenship. All incentive-eligible providers will receive the same incentive for the cost performance and citizenship components of the 2022 PCP Reward Plan. For the quality component, providers with panels of 500 or more patients will receive the same incentive, while providers with panels of 500 or less patients will receive a proportionally smaller incentive. Just as planned, this incentive award payment will be made in the August/September 2023 timeframe.
While our data and reporting challenges have been discouraging, we are working hard to ensure that 2023 will not be characterized by these same issues. The PER implementation continues apace, and it will be a helpful provider resource for optimizing 2023 quality performance. AHP has also initiated a process to review the marketplace of population health information technology vendors to determine who will best meet our needs going forward and ensure that our providers have the tools they need to identify opportunities to close gaps, improve clinical outcomes and the value of care, and earn optimal incentives. We will share more about this process and next steps in early 2023.
