NCQA Request for Public Comment: Proposed New HEDIS Measures and Existing Measure Changes
February 28th, 2022 | Quality•NewsEvery year, The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) seeks public comment about proposed changes to HEDIS measures, providing an important opportunity for healthcare stakeholders to weigh in on the relevance, scientific soundness, and feasibility of measures for HEDIS.
The current Public Comment Period opened on February 11th and will close on March 11th. There are a total of nine topics open for public comment, including new measures, changes to existing measures, measure retirements, and a cross-cutting topic. The webpage to view details about each topic, and to make a public comment is available here.
Being that HEDIS measures designed by NCQA directly impact the standards our network is expected to perform to, periods of public comment provide an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the process. As an aid to help individuals draft their public comments, AHP has compiled some of the comments from our medical leadership that will be provided during the comment period. View the document below.
