Patient Satisfaction Surveying Underway

January 27th, 2016 | Network News

One of the quality metrics on which AHP is required to report to the payers is Patient Experience. This year, AHP’s PCPs will participate in CG-CAHPS surveys wherein patients seen in the primary care practices will be asked to report on and rate their experiences with clinicians and their staff. AHP selected Press Ganey to conduct the CG-CAHPS surveys due to their high success rate in working with providers to improve patient safety through site-specific performance improvement plans .

Press Ganey, in partnership with AHP’s Provider Relations team, facilitated the implementation stage of the survey process across the PCP practices and to date, fifteen practices have successfully transmitted data files to Press Ganey for the purpose of distributing the first round of monthly surveys. Over thirty additional practices have successfully submitted test files and may expect to see surveys mailed out in the next week or two. Completed surveys will be returned to Press Ganey for scoring, and practices will have the opportunity to upload and view results. A Patient Experience Advisor from Press Ganey will be available to help the practices interpret results and develop best practices to drive improvement and increase patient satisfaction scores. Participating practices will receive an incentive payment of $250 for completing the implementation phase of the CG-CAHPS survey process, and ongoing incentives of $100 per month for continued participation.
