Join AHP in welcoming Cait (Fallone) Sharma as AHP’s Project Director of Behavioral Health Integration. Cait comes to AHP from the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she spent the past eight years. In her tenure at URMC, Cait was involved in clinical research in the Department of Pediatrics Division of Neonatology before spending six years as the Program Manager for the Environmental Health Sciences Center Community Engagement Core in the Department of Environmental Medicine. As the program manager, Cait focused on community health improvement related to lead poison, home health hazards, air and water quality, and chemical exposures.

Cait has a master’s in Medical Anthropology from the University at Buffalo and is pursuing a doctorate in Human Development at the University of Rochester. As a Medical Anthropologist, Cait’s goal is to improve health and wellness within diverse communities, leveraging her understanding of cultural influences, societal norms, and environmental factors to meet that goal. She is interested in behavioral health and preventive medicine, focusing on lifestyle behaviors and coping with chronic illness.

As an experienced instructor, published author, and skilled programmist, Cait hopes to use her skills to support our practices in engaging with our Behavioral Health Integration Team.  She is partnering with our clinical leadership and Optimization Team on Depression Screening & Follow Up initiative and our Collaborative Care pilot to reduce barriers and increase support for our providers, practice teams, and patients as they engage in Behavioral Health Integration.
