Medical Toxicology Clinic Opens at UR Medicine Pittsford Urgent Care
August 31st, 2021 | Network NewsUR Medicine recently established a Medical Toxicology Clinic at its Pittsford Urgent Care location at 3400 Monroe Ave. The referral-based clinic will run on a monthly basis before expanding. While the Toxicology service at URMC currently houses a robust inpatient consultation service, expanding efforts to provide clinic-based outpatient consultation services aim to help people impacted by ailments such as heavy metal toxicity (from metal-on-metal hip joints or lead toxicity from retained bullets), suspected poisoning, and/or chemical or environmental exposures. It will also offer follow-up from hospitalizations for drug exposures and unintentional or intentional overdoses.
A referral is required for patients to be seen in the Medical Toxicology Clinic. Referrals can be placed via fax (585-276-2436) or via ERecord as AMB REFERRAL TO TOXICOLOGY.
